Surprising new Trump approval ratings reveal the true American opinion, featuring unexpected results from one state

New data reveals that Donald Trump’s approval ratings have slipped in recent months. A poll conducted earlier this month, five months after Trump returned to the Oval Office, showed only 45% of voters approve of his presidency. Meanwhile, 46% disapprove, and 9% remain unsure.
This marks a slight drop from January, when his approval stood at 49%, according to Daily Boulder.

Public Opinion on the Country’s Direction
The survey from Emerson College also found that 53% of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, while 48% feel it’s on the right track.

Looking ahead to next year’s midterm elections, Democrats hold a slight lead. Emerson’s Spencer Kimball said, “Independents favor the Democratic candidate 37% to 27%, but 36% remain undecided, so these numbers could change.”

Texas Poll Signals Trouble in a GOP Stronghold
Another poll by the University of Texas and Texas Politics Project paints a similar picture. It reports a 44% approval rating for Trump, with 51% disapproving—notable since Texas traditionally favors Republicans.
