Former Fox News star Maria Bartiromo turned heads on Sunday when she spoke publicly for the first time since reports claimed she’d been let go by the network.
Bartiromo thanked supporters for an outpouring of messages and hinted that an announcement about her future may be coming.

The longtime Fox Business and Fox News host posted publicly for the first time since Fox News Media announced Sept. 3 that she was leaving after more than 12 years with the company.
“Thank you to all friends & followers for your amazing words,” Bartiromo wrote on X alongside a photograph of a rainbow emerging through clouds.
“I am so grateful for the outpouring of love on SM & texts. I love you all,” she added before ending with a brief tease: “More to come.”

Bartiromo did not explain the circumstances surrounding her departure or reveal what she plans to do next.
Fox News Media announced her exit in a short statement a week earlier.
“Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media,” the company said. “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”
The network did not provide a reason for the move.
Fox later described the separation as a “business decision,” according to The Washington Post, but offered no additional details.
Bartiromo’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has disputed reports describing her departure as a firing.

“The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartiromo was fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false,” Freedman said after Fox’s announcement.
He also indicated that evidence supporting Bartiromo’s position could eventually become public, saying her legal team had “the receipts and witnesses.”
Fox has continued to stand by its statement that Bartiromo is no longer with Fox News Media.
Her programs have already been reorganized.

“Mornings with Maria,” her weekday Fox Business program, was renamed “Mornings with FOX Business” and is being hosted by rotating anchors.
“Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” became “FBN’s Wall Street,” while former Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz initially took over hosting duties on “Sunday Morning Futures.” Fox said it would announce a permanent host later.
Bartiromo joined Fox in 2014 after spending approximately two decades at CNBC, where she became one of financial television’s most recognizable personalities and was the first journalist to broadcast live regularly from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
At Fox, she developed a significant presence across both the business and news networks, hosting three programs and conducting frequent interviews with President Donald Trump and other senior political and business figures.
Trump publicly praised Bartiromo after Fox announced the separation.
“I can’t believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, calling her a “total professional” and saying her viewers would be unhappy about the change.

Vice President JD Vance also praised Bartiromo while saying he did not know the circumstances surrounding her departure.
“I love Maria. I think she’s an amazing person, an amazing talent,” Vance said.
Reports have offered competing explanations for why Bartiromo and Fox separated.
Several outlets have reported that network executives became concerned after internal editorial guidance involving coverage of a July Trump speech reached the White House. Bartiromo has not publicly addressed those reports, and Fox has not identified that episode as the reason for her departure.
White House adviser Peter Navarro later acknowledged that Bartiromo had sent him a screenshot of internal Fox guidance and said he forwarded it to White House officials.
Navarro has argued that Bartiromo was unfairly punished, while Fox has not publicly confirmed his characterization of events.
